Pete Crofts has been at the heart of national comedy since 1963,
when he first became popular as a stand-up comedian under the
guises of characters such as Peter Pan the funny Man.
A professional public speaker and trainer, Pete Crofts has dedicated
his life to researching, compiling resources and teaching the
psychology and dynamics of humour, comedy and laughter. Pete
believes that humour is the corporate edge of the future and
those organisations that encourage and foster humour and laughter
will be the winners in an increasingly competitive world.
Pete has incorporated his vast knowledge and practical experience
into a range of innovative workshops and training programs,
which explore and develop the many facets of humour and demonstrates
how humour can be applied for professional and personal success.
Recognising humour as one of the great stress relievers, motivators,
health and profit enhancers of our age, Pete commenced his life-time
study into the science of Humourology; examining why people
laugh and the formulas and techniques that can be used to make
them laugh.
Early in his career Pete saw people needed humour, comedy and
laughter to survive and began to envisage the humour needs of
people in the future.
Pete believes humour is an intrinsic value in most cultures.
And those cultures which emphasise humour have a national competitive
advantage in todays’ business world.
In 1973, Pete set up the world's only Humour, Comedy and Laughter
Centre which incorporated the most extensive bookshop on humour
in the world, the Pete Crofts Humourversity, and Comedy Archives
Research Development Services (CARDS), the largest information
brokerage service for humour, comedy and laughter in Australia.
Associates include writers, journalists, photographers, speakers'
bureau, public relations, sales promotions, publishers, lawyers,
designers, printers, accountants, casting agents, event organisers,
market research companies and recording studios.
He also developed his revolutionary theory of "Business Show"
(every business is on show!), and introduced a range of humour
workshops to help companies solve problems, identify opportunities
and sell ideas by thinking and acting with humour. Pete is respected
worldwide as a humour authority. He has appeared regularly on
television and in the media and written for numerous books and
magazines. He is currently writing his next book ‘Corporate
Humour’.

and varied network of Associates. All are excellent creative
